I am working on paintings in gouache and encaustic done on a very small scale- usually about 6 to 8 inches square- I like the delicate detail I can get this way, and it’s an interesting contrast to the large gouache paintings that I have been doing for the last few years. Also, I’m working on a series of realistic costume dolls featuring traditional and pow-wow costumes of Plains Indians- I love the colors and the beadwork on the clothes, and it is fun to try to replicate them in miniature. Right now my focus is on making masks, fetish dolls, paintings and jewelry for a show at Montana Art and Framing in September.

I’m designing cards for every holiday, available now as paper cards, but with a long-term view to making them available as e-cards.
